Q. Why do I need to create an itinerary?
A. As soon as you have an itinerary in the system, WorldMate comes to life! You can start getting personalized information, in real-time, to guide you through your travels. When your itineraries are in the system, WorldMate knows what's next, helping you to get there on time and in the know.

Apart from timely alerts, reminders and notifications, you can also access travel-related information such as weather, time differences and much more. Moreover, if you enter addresses into your itinerary (like the address of the meeting you plan to attend), we can show you a map of the area and the best way to get there.

Q. Can WorldMate be useful for me without an itinerary?
A. WorldMate was designed to help business travelers plan and manage their travel itineraries. However, even if you don't have an itinerary in the system, WorldMate is still full of useful travel tools: flight status, weather, currency conversion, measurement conversion tools and much more.

Q: What does the itinerary contain?
A. In WorldMate, you can view your current and future itineraries; itineraries for past trips are viewable on the Web. For each itinerary, you can see all the travel details you have entered, whether on device or on the Web, in their order of occurrence. That means you'll see flights, hotel stays, meetings, car rentals and public transportation, all with their respective dates and times (like hotel check-in or car pick-up). If the travel item has an address (like a meeting, car rental or hotel), you can click "view map" for an online map of the surrounding area.

Q: How do I edit my itinerary?
A. To edit your itineraries, simply go to the Web application, and select the itinerary you wish to edit. Then click on any item to see the details. Make your desired edits and click "Save." Your information will be synched to your mobile device, keeping you up-to-date wherever you are.

If you are a BlackBerry user, you can also edit your itineraries directly on the device; the information will sync back to the Web.

If you are a Windows Mobile user, the future version of WorldMate will also have editing capabilities.

Q: How can I create my itineraries faster and more easily?

A. It's simple. When you get an email confirmation for your flight, hotel or car rental, simply forward it to us at trips@worldmate.com and we will create your itinerary for you - no hassle and no effort.
