Q. How do I upgrade to WorldMate Gold membership?
A. Log in to WorldMate.com and click on the Upgrade button. On your SmartPhone, you can click the Upgrade button and purchase directly from your Smartphone device.

Q. Why should I upgrade to Gold?
A. WorldMate gives you many useful and helpful services as part of the "free" membership.
But many travelers choose Gold membership for even greater control of their travel experience. For example, Gold membership gives you:

  • Flight alerts - get live notifications on the status of your flight. You will be notified immediately of delayed or cancelled flights, allowing you to re-schedule or find alternate flight in time.
  • Flight Schedules - find all the possible ways to get to your destination, either directly or via connections, to allow you to better plan your trip and time.
  • Travel Directory (Blackberry only) - easily find contact information for airports, airlines, hotels and other travel related services, right on your mobile device.

Q. How do I upgrade to Gold Membership using an activation code?
A. If you have purchased an Activation Code, log in to WorldMate.com and click on the Upgrade button. Enter the activation code in the appropriate box.

Q. What types of subscriptions options are available?
A. You can choose an annual subscription with a one-time yearly billing, or a monthly subscription with automatic monthly billing.

Q. How can I change/edit my credit card information?
A. We don't currently offer the capability of changing/editing your credit card details in the WorldMate system. If you need to switch your billing to a different credit card, you can cancel (downgrade) the current Gold Membership subscription and purchase a new one using the other credit card.

Q. How do I change my primary email address on my account?
A. Follow these steps to change your primary email address:

  1. Log in to your WorldMate account.
  2. Click the "My Account" tab; then click the "Email Address" button. This will take you to a screen where you can add a new email address. You'll then receive an email from WorldMate asking you to click a link to validate that email address.
  3. Once validated, you can select that email address and click the "Make Primary" button to define that address as your primary email address.

Q. Was I charged twice for WorldMate Gold membership subscription?
A. Your WorldMate billing record may show two lines for the same subscription charge: one noted as "Pending Approval" and the other noted as "Payment." This represents a single payment. In the unlikely event you are overcharged for your subscription, please contact us and provide copies of the relevant credit card billing records.

Q: Which email address should I use in WorldMate on my device/Why should I use the same email address as on the web site?
A: WorldMate service consists of two parts:
  • Web application (www.worldmate.com ) - used to create and manage your travel plans. It is accessible from any computer connected to internet.
  • Mobile client - is installed on your device. Travel itineraries from the web application are automatically synchronized with your device, making the information available on the go.
To allow automatic synchronization the exact same sign-in details are to be used both on your mobile device and on WorldMate web page.

Q: I have an iPhone, how do I upgrade to Gold?
A: Simply download the WorldMate Gold version from Apple's app store.

Q. Can I transfer my WorldMate Gold subscription from BlackBerry or Windows Mobile to iPhone?
A. No, WorldMate Gold subscriptions are not transferable when switching to a different device platform.

Q. Guidelines for users who purchased the application at AT&T Media Mall
A.
  1. You can purchase and download the application through AT&T MediaMall - http://www.worldmate.com/mediamall [this link can be opened in your MEdiaNet browse from your BlackBerry].
  2. Billing will be handled by AT&T and will appear on your monthly bill.
  3. Cancelations are handled by AT&T. For all other support issues please contact WorldMate support team.
  4. In order to re-activate the subscription, you need to purchase and download the application through MediaMall.
  5. The MediaMall does not offer a free tier of our application.
