Q. What is the WorldMate Web site?
A. As soon as you have an itinerary in the system, WorldMate comes to life! You can start getting personalized information, in real-time, to guide you through your travels. When your itineraries are in the system, WorldMate knows what's next, helping you to get there on time and in the know.
Q. How do I use the Web site?
A. Go to WorldMate.com, sign-in with your email address and password, then create, edit or view your itineraries.
Q. How do I create a trip itinerary?
A. Log in at WorldMate.com. Select "Create Itinerary" and follow the prompts.
Q. How do I add items to a trip itinerary?
A. Once you're viewing a trip itinerary, add items by clicking the relevant "Add" link (e.g., "Add Flight," "Add Meeting," etc.) A window will open for you to enter the details.
Q. How do I add flight details?
A. You can add scheduled flights with ease. Simply entering the airline, flight number and date, then click "Get Flight Details." If the flight is found, the details will be provided automatically and you only need to click "OK." If the flight information is not recognized, you can manually enter the details. Note: If your flight is with a major airline and flight details are not automatically shown, please recheck the information you entered. It is unlikely that a scheduled flight on a major airline would not be found if the information was entered correctly.
Q. Can I add a flight which is not in the Flight Schedule system?
A. Yes. Just enter the airline, date and flight number. Click "Get Flight Details" and then manually enter the flight details in the window that opens.
Q. How do I view my trip or specific items on a map?
A. After you log in and select the itinerary on WorldMate.com, click "Map My Itinerary" to view all relevant items on a map. You can also click the map icon near a specific item to view the location of that item. (Travel items must have validated addresses.)
Q. What does the message "Address not validated" mean?
A. When you enter an item's address (e.g., a hotel or meeting location), WorldMate attempts to validate the address. If the address is not validated it means WorldMate was unable to find the corresponding map location. Recheck to make sure you entered the correct/complete address and try again.
Q. How do I rename a trip?
A. To rename a trip in your itinerary, click on the edit icon in the same row. A window will open for you to edit your trip details.
Q. Why are my new Itinerary items are showing next year's dates?
A. If you enter new itinerary items without a year, the system assumes that they are occurring on a future date and assigns them to the following year. You can edit the items and manually correct the year.
Q. What if I have overlapping itineraries?
A. At present, we are not able to transfer existing itinerary items (such as flights) between your WorldMate itineraries, or separate an existing itinerary into new shorter itineraries. To prevent WorldMate from uniting your overlapping itineraries, you can separate the beginning of a trip (i.e., the flight to) and the end of the trip (i.e., the return flight) into two itineraries. This will prevent WorldMate from automatically adding items to one long itinerary between the original dates of departure and arrival.
Q. My secretary/assistant manages my travel itineraries. Can I still benefit from WorldMate?
A. Your assistant can create itineraries for you using the WorldMate Web site and/or the Outlook Add-in, and you can use that information while traveling. You'll need to provide your assistant with your log in details to enable them to access your Web account. And since the mobile service is in sync with the Web site, any changes your assistant makes to your travel details will be automatically updated on your Smartphone.
Q. Which browsers do you support?/ Do you support Safari (Mac)?
A. We currently support Internet Explorer 6 and up, Firefox and Safari for Mac.
